THE trial of Lord Janner on 22 sex abuse charges will be held at the Old Bailey next year.
Former Labour MP Janner, 87, is almost certain to be absent from the proceedings as he is suffering from advanced dementia.
The case is set to go ahead in February after a fitness to plead hearing was held in December.
He is accused of 15 counts of indecent assault and seven counts of a separate sexual offence against a total of nine alleged victims in the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s.
All but one of the alleged attacks relate to complainants who were aged 16 or under at the time.
