A recent military study shows military personnel evaluated who received the flu vaccine had a 36 percent increased risk of coronavirus.
The study concludes[1]:
….Examining virus interference by specific respiratory viruses showed mixed results. Vaccine derived virus interference was significantly associated with coronavirus and human metapneumovirus.…
What Does This Mean?
The following explanation[2] is the best we have come across:
The study highlights the value of the human body’s ability to fight against viruses. Apparently, by contracting influenza, the body naturally “may reduce the risk of non-influenza respiratory viruses…”
Due to the flu vaccine’s “interference” with the naturally occurring
biological process, there may be an increased risk of contracting
non-influenza viruses:
“While influenza vaccination offers protection against influenza, natural influenza infection may reduce the risk of non-influenza respiratory viruses by providing temporary, non-specific immunity against these viruses.
On the other hand, recently published studies have described the phenomenon of vaccine-associated virus interference; that is, vaccinated individuals may be at increased risk for other respiratory viruses because they do not receive the non-specific immunity associated with natural infection.”
So the study indicates people who receive the flu vaccine are at increased risk for coronavirus.
Which is very ironic when you consider that the CDC and their media buddies are all encouraging people to quickly run along and get their flu vaccines:
“I do think immunizing people against influenza has a very important indirect effect,” said Dr. Albert Ko, a professor and department chair at the Yale School of Public Health. [3]
While this isn’t directly an issue right now, as the study concludes that contracting influenza itself helps the body fight respiratory problems in the future; it does seem irresponsible to put people at a 36% risk in any future outbreaks of coronavirus that we may have.

Hi Karen, Sorry it wasn’t here, though I know the article you are referring too. The Influenza Vaccine in Italy be connected to the COVID19 deaths is merely speculative. Though there is a valid argument for the theory.
