The Gardasil HPV Vaccine is probably been the most controversial of all the Vaccines currently being administered. Even the mainstream media has reported on various cases of children who allegedly have had severe adverse effects shortly after receiving the Vaccination. Of course the majority of these reports are carefully worded and quite a number of the articles have been redacted or edited at a later date.
For anyone who is unfamiliar with the Gardasil HPV Vaccine here is a little outline of it’s history:
On June 8th 2006, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced the approval of GARDASIL, and on June 29th the Advisory Committee on Immunizations Practices (ACIP) voted to recommend adding GARDASIL human papilloma virus vaccine to the Centers for Disease Control’s national childhood recommended immunization schedule. On July 14th 2006 the first report of a serious reaction to the vaccine was filed with the federal Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System.
A 16-year-old Illinois girl was vaccinated July 7th 2006 and 13 days later developed symptoms eventually diagnosed as Guillian-Barre Syndrome. A 14-year-old girl in the District of Columbia was vaccinated on July 11th 2006 and complained of severe pain immediately following the injection, fell off the examining table and experienced a 10 to 15 second fainting spell ending up in the emergency room with a headache and speech problems. The report of this reaction, the first in the nation, was filed on July 14th, 15 days after the ACIP vote.[1]
Since 2006 we have seen literally thousands of reports coming in of children with some severe reactions to the Vaccine.
April 2008: Moshella died following her Gardasil vaccination, 5 April 2008, her first day on the job at Trinity Home Health Care. Shelly appeared to have died in her sleep while on the job that morning.[2]
September 2009: Natalie Morton was a pupil at the Blue Coat Church of England School in Coventry, where she was given the human papilloma virus (HPV) jab yesterday. She was taken to Coventry University hospital, where she died at lunchtime.[3]
June 2013: The family of a teenage girl left suffering mystery seizures for two years believe it was caused by the HPV jab. Erin Morgan, 15, spent two weeks in the high dependency unit at Stepping Hill Hospital and has suffered almost daily seizures since.[4]
2015: A mother records her child’s sudden change in behaviour following the HPV Vaccination claiming prior to the injection she was a normal and healthy girl.
2015: In another video which was released on Youtube last year multiple girls appear to be having seizures immediately after receiving the HPV vaccine in Brazil. Some viewers may find the following footage distressing.
There are endless accounts online of similar cases where children have died or become severely effected by the vaccine, the daily mail released an article back in June 2015:
‘Tens of thousands of teenage girls believed to have fallen ill with debilitating illnesses after routine HPV cervical cancer jab ‘ – Dailymail[5]
However regardless of how many children are claimed to be affected by the Vaccine the CDC and the manufacturers are still adamant that the Vaccine is safe and effective and that none of the children who have suffered severe side effects were done so by the vaccination itself. Of course it’s beyond reasonable doubt that not all the reported cases will be directly caused by the vaccination itself and could of indeed as the authorities claim be a tragic coincidence – however is it also not beyond reasonable doubt that a large proportion of the cases are genuine ?
There is also much debate over the effectiveness of the Vaccine with claims that the stated %70 reduction in cervical cancers is an overstated estimate with no founded evidence.
..the claim that HPV vaccination will result in approximately 70% reduction of cervical cancers is made despite the fact that the clinical trials data have not demonstrated to date that the vaccines have actually prevented a single case of cervical cancer(let alone cervical cancer death), nor that the current overly optimistic surrogate marker-based extrapolations are justified. Likewise, the notion that HPV vaccines have an impressive safety profile is only supported by highly flawed design of safety trials and is contrary to accumulating evidence from vaccine safety surveillance databases and case reports which continue to link HPV vaccination to serious adverse outcomes (including death and permanent disabilities).[6]
So with all the controversy surrounding Gardasil parents are becoming more and more sceptical about whether this risk of the vaccination outweighs the effectiveness of the vaccination. A recent documentary aired on national TV in Denmark has brought even more attention to the Vaccine and is being blamed for further reductions in the Vaccine uptake.
Doctors have urged parents to participate in getting their daughters to have the controversial HPV vaccine. The vaccine is designed to prevent cervical cancer but after a recent TV3 documentary was aired, parents have practically stopped allowing their children to receive the controversial drug.[7]
At the moment the Vaccine is predominantly being given to girls only however recommendations are in place to begin inoculating boys also:
Government advisers are to consider whether the HPV vaccine, routinely offered to girls at the ages of 12 and 13 since 2008 to help protect them against cervical cancer, should also be offered to boys and some men. They are to review “all the issues” on HPV, including whether targeted vaccination would help cut the risk of anal and throat cancers among men who have sex with men as well as the wider question over whether a universal male vaccination programme given to pre-teen or teenage boys is necessary as well, an idea that has previously been rejected.[8]
You do not have to be against vaccines to be alarmed by the huge amounts of negative media surrounding the Vaccine, there are hundreds of thousands of cases similar to the ones stated in this article and growing day by day.

THE GREATER GOOD is an award winning character-driven documentary that explores the cultural intersections where parenting meets modern medicine and individual rights collide with politics. The film offers parents, doctors and policy makers a safe space to speak openly, actively listen and learn from one another. This documentary tells the rarely heard stories of three families adversely impacted by vaccination. This important perspective on the issue of vaccine safety has been left out of the mainstream media debate for too long
