Medical experts advising the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) have recommended emergency approval for the Pfizer-BioNTech coronavirus vaccine.
The decision comes after a 23-member panel met to determine whether the drug’s benefits outweigh the risks.[1]
With the UK and Canada already giving their approval to the new Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, we all knew the US wouldn’t be far behind in approving this experimental vaccine.
It will still need to be passed by the FDA’s Vaccine chief, but I don’t think there is anything to worry about there. This Vaccine will be approved and ready for distribution by the end of next week, this is one of life’s certainties.
In reality though, when these so-called experts were making the decision on whether or not to pass this vaccine, they may as well of flipped a coin. The data just isn’t there to make a responsible decision to whether or not authorize the usage of this vaccine.
The studies are yet to be fully released, there has been no peer-review. Already we have seen here in the UK, a warning go out to people with allergy issues following to NHS workers who received the vaccine:
People with a history of significant allergic reactions should not have the Pfizer/BioNTech Covid jab, regulators say.
It came after two NHS workers had allergic reactions on Tuesday.
They are understood to have had an anaphylactoid reaction, which tends to involve a skin rash, breathlessness and sometimes a drop in blood pressure. This is not the same as anaphylaxis which can be fatal. – BBC News[2]
We’ll have to see how all of this unfolds, only time will truly tell. Just remember, the race for this vaccine has probably been one of the most potentially lucrative races the pharmaceutical industry has ever seen.
If you think for one second, corners were not cut, data was not ‘tweaked’ and outright misconduct has not occurred then you are delusional.
Be rational, think critically, be informed.
