This may be common knowledge too many of you out there, but with so many people only just beginning to wake up to how the World works, it seemed like a good time to reiterate some information regarding ‘implied consent’ and your child.
You would expect the procedure for schools vaccinating children would require written authorization from a parent or caregiver, however this is not the case.
Much like the organ donor system works now in much of the World, childhood vaccination works on a ‘opt-out’ system, not an ‘opt-in.
What this means is that, if your child attends school on the day of vaccination and does not communicate unwillingness to vaccinate, this would ‘imply consent.
The World Health Authorization laid out exactly how this ‘implied consent’ should work in their published document entitled ‘Considerations regarding consent in vaccinating children and adolescents'[1]:
An implied consent process by which parents are informed of imminent vaccination through social mobilization and communication, sometimes including letters directly addressed to the parents.
Subsequently, the physical presence of the child or adolescent, with or without an accompanying parent at the vaccination session, is considered to imply consent.
This practice is based on the opt-out principle and parents who do not consent to vaccination are expected implicitly to take steps to ensure that their child or adolescent does not participate in the vaccination session.[1]
Over the coming months we expect this ‘implied consent’ to be used at every given opportunity. So just be aware that if you are opposed to your child being vaccinated, it will require you to take implicit steps to ensure it doesn’t happen.
We recommend exactly what the WHO suggest, don’t send your child to school on the day of vaccination. If your school attempts to fine you for this, please pass them a copy of this WHO document which suggests exactly this.
This may include not letting the child or adolescent attend school on a vaccination day, if vaccine delivery occurs through schools.[1]
