Germany’s parliament has just approved a law making it compulsory for schoolchildren to be vaccinated against measles. Lawmakers approved the government’s bill on Thursday with a majority of 459 in favour an 89 against with 105 abstentions.
Parents who cannot prove their children have been vaccinated will receive a fine of up to €2,500.
This will effectively make every single school-age child in Germany legally required to be vaccinated as home education in Germany is illegal.
Germany’s health minister Jens Spahn said compulsory vaccination was necessary because of an increase in cases of measles, a highly contagious and potentially fatal disease.
Measles was “too often underestimated”, Mr Spahn said.
“It’s about the protection of the weakest, the little ones who can not be vaccinated until the end of the first year of life.”
The law will also require all teachers, hospital staff and residents of refugee shelters to be vaccinated from March 2020.
This effectively leaves Germany a no go zone for freedom, stay well away!
