Muammar Gaddafi | Filling The Gaps Of A Western Narrative

Muammar Gaddafi, Libya’s leader for over four decades was murdered on 20th October 2011 during the Battle of Sirte at the age of 69.

The US, UK and their allies labelled Gaddafi as a tyrant, a tyrant that needed to be removed.

The Obama administration, NATO and the UK Government and all the usual suspects were making some ridiculous claims, none of which had any supportive evidence.

Muammar Gaddafi was bombing his own people

This is a total fabrication, supported by no evidence. The BBC on the 21st February 2011 reported that “Witnesses say warplanes have fired on protesters in the city ”

However U.S. Secretary of Defense Robert Gates, when asked if there was any evidence of these alleged bombings responded, “We’ve seen the press reports, but we have no confirmation of that”.

Admiral Mullen echoed Gates’s response with,  “That’s correct.  We’ve seen no confirmation whatsoever”.

Gaddafi used Rape as a weapon of War

Back in June 2011, US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton she was “deeply concerned” that Gaddafi’s troops were participating in widespread rape in Libya. “Rape, physical intimidation, sexual harassment, and even so-called ‘virginity tests’ have taken place in countries throughout the region,” she said.

Yet no evidence was ever found to support these claims, Amnesty International investigated these claims but turned up nothing to support such claims.

An investigation by Amnesty International has failed to find evidence for these human rights violations and in many cases has discredited or cast doubt on them. It also found indications that on several occasions the rebels in Benghazi appeared to have knowingly made false claims or manufactured evidence.

The findings by the investigators appear to be at odds with the views of the prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, Luis Moreno-Ocampo, who two weeks ago told a press conference that “we have information that there was a policy to rape in Libya those who were against the government. Apparently, he [Colonel Gaddafi] used it to punish people.”

These accusations are just more lies and propaganda entirely fabricated by the West. Any claims made by Libyan rebels at the time were inconsistent and blatant lies:

In one instance two captured pro-Gaddafi soldiers presented to the international media by the rebels claimed their officers, and later themselves, had raped a family with four daughters.

Ms Rovera says that when she and a colleague, both fluent in Arabic, interviewed the two detainees, one 17 years old and one 21, alone and in separate rooms, they changed their stories and gave differing accounts of what had happened.

“They both said they had not participated in the rape and just heard about it,” she said. “They told different stories about whether or not the girls’ hands were tied, whether their parents were present and about how they were dressed.” [source]

Just to make these claims even darker and twisted they added an additional claim on the back of the ‘Rape as a Weapon’ narrative. Soldiers were allegedly powering these rapes with Viagra.

Several doctors say they have found Viagra tablets and condoms in the pockets of dead pro-Gaddafi fighters, alleging that they were using rape as a weapon of war. They say they have been treating female rape survivors who were allied with pro-democracy forces.

Furthermore, 175 people, including doctors, have been reported missing from Ajdabiya, and many have now been found to have been killed. [source]

This Viagra story was first published by Al Jazeera, in collaboration with its rebel partners, favoured by the Qatari regime that funds Al Jazeera.

In a startling declaration to the UN Security Council, U.S. Ambassador Susan Rice also asserted that Gaddafi was supplying his troops with Viagra to encourage mass rape. She offered no evidence whatsoever to back up her claim.

Indeed, U.S. military and intelligence sources flatly contradicted Rice, telling NBC News that “there is no evidence that Libyan military forces are being given Viagra and engaging in systematic rape against women in rebel areas”.

Rice is a liberal interventionist who was one of those to persuade Obama to intervene in Libya. She utilised this myth because it helped her make the case at the UN that there was no “moral equivalence” between Gaddafi’s human rights abuses and those of the insurgents. [source]

This Viagra-fueled rape story originated from Hillary Clintons leaked emails:

Sources now say, again rumor (that is, this information comes from the rebel side and is unconfirmed independently by Western intelligence), that Qaddafi has adopted a rape policy and has even distributed Viagra to troops. The incident at the Tripoli press conference involving a woman claiming to be raped is likely to be part of a much larger outrage. Will seek further confirmation.

Although these were merely rumours, they were soon passed to the Western press as facts and all the major media outlets ran the story.

Saddam Hussein: Filling the gaps of a western narrative

Muammar Gaddafi was a Tyrant

Gaddafi provided equal rights for Women, free education for all, free healthcare, free housing for all and a revolutionary man-made river, providing fresh water throughout the desert land that is Libya. These societal implementations seem like polar opposites to acts of tyranny.

Even the BBC recognised these achievements:

“Women in Libya are free to work and to dress as they like, subject to family constraints. Life expectancy is in the seventies. And per capita income—while not as high as could be expected given Libya’s oil wealth and relatively small population of 6.5m—is estimated at $12,000 (£9,000), according to the World Bank. Illiteracy has been almost wiped out, as has homelessness—a chronic problem in the pre-Gaddafi era, where corrugated iron shacks dotted many urban centres around the country”.

Colonel Gaddafi dreamed of seeing an abundance of fresh water in Libya, and wanted to make his home country stand as a proud and free nation.

The Great Man-Made River Project, a Jamahiriya government financed venture, was going to be developed in five stages. All five stages were a completely different project by themselves, however, when combined, the stages would form an integrated set-up.

As water in the newly formed Libya was considered to be a human right for its people, Gaddafi had to make this happen for the happiness of his people. [source]

Unfortunately, NATO put a quick end to Gaddafi’s ‘Great Man-Made River’ before all five stages were complete. Much of the pipe work was destroyed by bombing.

Additionally, they also said that the same pipeline manufacture plant was used as a launch site for missiles and rockets. When NATO forces bombed that pipe building plant, more than five security officers were wiped out, along with the water supply system that supplied the general public with water for personal consumption and agricultural purposes – hitting Libya’s essential infrastructure.

The development of the final two stages of the river project were set to be finished within the next 20 years, but thanks to NATO’s ‘humanitarian’ war on Libya, the projects’ future is in great peril.

The Threat of Libya’s Oil and Gold to French Interests

The following excerpt has been taken from The Foreign Policy Journal :

Though the French-proposed U.N. Security Council Resolution 1973 claimed the no-fly zone implemented over Libya was to protect civilians, an April 2011 email [archived here] sent to Hillary with the subject line “France’s client and Qaddafi’s gold” tells of less noble ambitions.

The email identifies French President Nicholas Sarkozy as leading the attack on Libya with five specific purposes in mind: to obtain Libyan oil, ensure French influence in the region, increase Sarkozy’s reputation domestically, assert French military power, and to prevent Gaddafi’s influence in what is considered “Francophone Africa.”

Most astounding is the lengthy section delineating the huge threat that Gaddafi’s gold and silver reserves, estimated at “143 tons of gold, and a similar amount in silver,” posed to the French franc (CFA) circulating as a prime African currency. In place of the noble sounding “Responsibility to Protect” (R2P) doctrine fed to the public, there is this “confidential” explanation of what was really driving the war [emphasis mine]:

This gold was accumulated prior to the current rebellion and was intended to be used to establish a pan-African currency based on the Libyan golden Dinar. This plan was designed to provide the Francophone African Countries with an alternative to the French franc (CFA).

(Source Comment: According to knowledgeable individuals this quantity of gold and silver is valued at more than $7 billion. French intelligence officers discovered this plan shortly after the current rebellion began, and this was one of the factors that influenced President Nicolas Sarkozy’s decision to commit France to the attack on Libya.)

Though this internal email aims to summarize the motivating factors driving France’s (and by implication NATO’s) intervention in Libya, it is interesting to note that saving civilian lives is conspicuously absent from the briefing.

Instead, the great fear reported is that Libya might lead North Africa into a high degree of economic independence with a new pan-African currency.

French intelligence “discovered” a Libyan initiative to freely compete with European currency through a local alternative, and this had to be subverted through military aggression.

The above mentioned are just a fraction of the lies and deception surrounding Gaddafi and Libya, but its clear that what we in the West have been told, what is now being scribed in the History Books of new Western Academia is fabricated, it is nothing more than a Western Narrative which was designed to allow Western power to destroy Libya and Gaddafi with as little public resistance as possible.

Another Country torn to pieces, it’s children placed into a permanent nightmare by the hands of Western power. Unforgivable.

Muammar Gaddafi’s last words as he begged for mercy were –  ‘What did I do to you?’

I never make an adverse judgement unless I can hear from the accused. Gaddafi never got a chance to address the American public. As a member of the public, I believe it is my right to hear from the accused. I do not trust my own representatives. Gaddafi is a relatively innocent man until I see real evidence. I expect hell to freeze over before that happens.
