Surge in Second Wave reports
Over the past couple days we have seen news reports on google surge, here are just a few of the reports making the headlines today:
From The Sunday Morning Herald[1]:
Fears of a second wave as Beijing steps up coronavirus measures
Beijing has traced dozens of new coronavirus cases to a major wholesale food market after almost two infection-free months, raising concerns about a resurgence of the disease.
The capital is taking steps to try to halt the outbreak, including ramping up testing. On Sunday night Beijing ordered all companies to supervise 14-day home quarantine for employees who have visited the Xinfadi market or been in contact with anyone who has done so.[1]
and from AA.com[2]:
Is Spain heading towards second wave of COVID-19?
Spain saw daily COVID-19 cases double two days in a row this week, but the country’s chief epidemiologist said the outbreaks are under control.
On Sunday, the country registered a daily record-low number of 48 infections, but the number nearly doubled to reach 84 on Monday, and then again to 167 on Tuesday.[2]
From The New York Times[3]:
The Second Wave Is Coming
As states continue to relax lockdown rules, a dreaded “second wave” of infections appears to be rolling in. Georgia, one of the first states to reopen, has seen new cases plateau, and average infection rates continue to slow across the country.
However, several Southern and Western states, like Texas, Nevada and Florida, have developed new hot spots, and Oregon paused its reopening on Thursday in response to an uptick in cases. If they rise enough, they could hobble economic recovery or even require a second round of stay-at-home orders.[3]
Finally, from the Guardian[4]:
Europe should brace for second wave, says EU coronavirus chief
The prospect of a second wave of coronavirus infection across Europe is no longer a distant theory, according to the director of the EU agency responsible for advising governments – including the UK – on disease control.
“The question is when and how big, that is the question in my view,” said Dr Andrea Ammon, director of the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC).[4]
Revenge of the Lockdown
If enjoyed your first lockdown, you’ll be glad to know there is sure to be another not too far off in the distant future. With all the evidence indicating that Lockdowns actually don’t save lives, you can be sure that Governments will jump at the chance to repeat the same mistakes over again.
If you have yet to figure out how this works, here is quick dummies guide to how Government Operates:
- If it increases potential mortality rate, it’s a go-go
- If it decreases potential mortality rate, it’s a no-no.
One Slight Problem
Now, I do see one slight problem with the whole ‘Second Wave’ thing, as we are seeing right now, people are a little angry, emotional, upset, stupid, idiotic and ridiculous. People are out in the millions, defying social distancing rules (though bizarrely still wearing facemasks) and protesting systemic racism and Police brutality.
But they apparently went one step too far. They started on the statues. Everyone knows if you’re going to mess with historical statues of slave-traders from days gone by, you’re going to have to answer to hundreds of pissed up football hooligans. These guys love their history, they love their architecture, and they love Britain.
So now we have a load of people defending stone statues, chanting ‘eng-a-land’ while a load of people on the other side, chanting ‘Black Lives Matter’ attempt to destroy or disfigure these stone statues in anger over historical racism.
So, as you can imagine with all these IQ points floating around on both sides, things have escalated pretty quickly.
Baring all this in mind, who knows what will happen. I’m not so sure you’ll lock people up successfully a second time around, but then again we aren’t exactly dealing with the Menser Institute, so we’ll have to wait and see.
What do you think about the ‘Second Wave’, do you think it’ll happen? Do you think Lockdowns will be implemented again? Please let us know in the comments below.
The second wave will, perhaps be, in autumn when the seasonal flu takes hold. Everyone with a cold or flu will be passed as having contracted the ‘Covid’ without even a test, as doctors just have to ‘suspect’ their patient has it. Yet again, the global statistics will rise, more draconian lockdowns will begin. The few small businesses which survived the first lockdown, will be crippled by this ‘second wave’. No doubt the killer vaccine, complete with ID chip will then be rolled out across the globe, and only with this vaccine will we be allowed out of lockdown, no… Read more »
