Since the conclusion of the recent US elections was determined we have been hearing consistently about ‘Fake News’.
This so-called fake new epidemic has forced the big internet players to implement changes to their platforms. Social media giant Facebook was one of the first to be criticised in their part played in allowing this ‘Fake News’ to be shared throughout its network.
With Hillary Clinton blaming the ‘Fake news’ for her failure to win the presidential elections and also implying that such things were a threat to the lives of our families – which confirms what we all thought about Hillary Clinton, she is indeed mentally ill:
Of course, the whole ‘Fake News’ narrative is total nonsense and is being used by the Government to discredit websites which choose a perspective of Worldly events which doesn’t suit their own agenda.
The mainstream media has jumped on the narrative because it has offered them a story which can help crush their competition. With the mainstream media losing viewers and readers by the day to alternative sources, this ‘Fake News’ hoax couldn’t have come at a better time for them.
So several weeks later and Facebook is beginning to announce how, and who will be providing their Fact checking services.
Most people have at some point come across Snopes.com, it has been the website used by social media trolls for years to assist in their attempts to discredit and debunk anti-establishment perspectives, theories and truths. For those that don’t know here is a little run down on Snopes and its founders.
What better place to start then the Snopes ‘About me‘ page:
The snopes.com website was founded by David Mikkelson, who lives and works in the Los Angeles area. What he began in 1995 as an expression of his interest in researching urban legends has since grown into what is widely regarded by folklorists, journalists, and laypersons alike as one of the World Wide Web’s essential resources.
In the following video, we see Barbara and David Mikkelson talk about Snopes and their passion for truth. To say the couple are a little strange would be an understatement – however strangeness alone is OK with us, after all we are all a little strange in our own way. But save your verdict on the couple until you’ve finished reading the rest of this article:
Returning to the ‘About me’ page of Snopes – David Mikkelson goes on to try and discredit the most common accusation made about the page, and that is that it has a third party financier who remains anonymous:
Because snopes.com is all about rumors, it was only a matter of time before rumors began to circulate about it and its operators, such as the following:
Snopes receives funding from an undisclosed source. The source is undisclosed because Snopes refuses to disclose that source.
The Democratic Alliance, a funding channel for uber-Leftist (Marxist) Billionaires (George Soros etc.), direct funds to an “Internet Propaganda Arm” pushing these views.
The Democratic Alliance has been reported to instruct Fundees to not disclose their funding source
The snopes.com web site is (and always has been) a completely independent, self-sufficient entity wholly owned by its operators and funded through advertising revenues.
Neither the site nor its operators has ever received monies from (or been engaged in any business or editorial relationship with), any sponsor, investor, partner, political party, religious group, business organization, government agency, or any other outside group or organization.
Then just to put the icing on the cake to clarify just what a trustworthy and down to earth type of guy Mikkelson is:
David is wholly apolitical, vastly preferring his quiet scholarly life in the company of his cats and chickens to any political considerations.
However, this contradicts what is now ex-wife Barbara Mikkelson claims.
Facebook ‘fact checker’ who will arbitrate on ‘fake news’ is accused of defrauding website to pay for prostitutes – and its staff includes an escort-porn star and ‘Vice Vixen domme’
David and Barbara Mikkelson, are embroiled in a lengthy and bitter legal dispute in the wake of their divorce.
He has since remarried, to a former escort and porn actress who is one of the site’s staff members.
They are accusing each other of financial impropriety, with Barbara claiming her ex-husband is guilty of ’embezzlement’ and suggesting he is attempting a ‘boondoggle’ to change tax arrangements, while David claims she took millions from their joint accounts and bought property in Las Vegas.
Now, should we really be placing our trust in a website who was founded and still operated by a man that cannot even remain trustworthy to his own wife, not to mention the laundering of Company money to fund his prostitute habitat.
Alternatively, if we went down the lines of assuming Barbara’s accusations are false then we have to question the thousands and thousands of previous ‘fact-checks’ that Barbara has personally verified over the years.
Either way, the sites credibility is seriously compromised for Facebook, the Worlds biggest player in News media to rely on them for checking the authenticity of News articles is just insanity, but not unexpected.
Facebook will not just be using Snopes though and the rest are just as questionable:
So what we see is nothing more than an attempt to cull the Alternative narrative, it has nothing whatsoever to do with facts or truth and everything to do with controlling the narrative to suit ‘their’ agenda.
